Mitsubishi Fuso Offers Fuel Tank Options for Its Medium Duty Commercial Trucks

Logan Township, NJ — Because its trucks are used in such a wide variety of fleet and vocational applications, Mitsubishi Fuso Truck of America offers fuel tank options for all of its medium duty commercial trucks.

A center-mounted fuel tank is available as a no-cost option on all FE140, FE145 and FE180 models. The 30-gallon, center-mounted fuel tank is located at the rear of the frame, centered between the rails immediately aft of the rear-spring mounting brackets, with filler tube running through the frame web on the left side. This location increases versatility in mounting body styles that extend below the top flange of the frame, and can help serve as a counterbalance in weight-forward applications like reefers.

For applications in which frequent refueling may not be practical, Mitsubishi Fuso’s larger FK and FM model commercial trucks* may be ordered with an auxiliary fuel tank. The auxiliary tank adds another 50 gallons of fuel capacity, and includes a large balance-tube between the standard tank and the auxiliary, with fuel-level sending unit located in the primary tank so fuel level is always known.

*May not be available on all models and all wheelbases. Check with your local Mitsubishi Fuso dealer.
